Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 4“These books are silly,” I said with a frown, flipping through the small books that Alvinius gave me. They had, at most, ten words per page and were filled mostly with pictures. I still couldn’t read quite yet, but I was perfectly capable of recognizing all of the letters and some of the words.Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 4 by Dwyre-Sylvermoon
“I know, Dwyre, but I need to teach you how to read,” he said, rubbing his temples from a small headache he managed to produce, “Starting you off with the basics is mandatory. If you can pick this up as quickly as you manage to pick up comprehensive abilities, you should fly right through this unit and I can take you to a book store for something more complicated. So for now, just pick a book with a pretty cover and read it to me”
I pushed back my own impatience and went through the different books he gave me, knocking out the books with the more bland looking covers immediately. Slowly I went through the remaining, more attractive looking covers and fin
Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 3I laid in my bed, listening to the low rumbles of thunder and the gentle, yet constant tapping of rain as it hit my window. I was supposed to be asleep, but thunderstorms always excited me. I wished to sit on my windowsill and watch the storm, but I knew now wasn't the time. I had to wait. And so I stared at the gap between the door and the floor, which spilled light into my room. As soon as two shadows blocked the light, I closed my eyes and breathed slower and forced it to be steady. Occasionally I would flicker my eyes back and forth as if following an imaginary moth flying in my room.Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 3 by Dwyre-Sylvermoon
The door creaked open and the floorboard shifted only a little bit beneath lightly taken footsteps. I felt the soft lips of my mother on my cheek and her hand brush affectionately through my hair. She lingered a little longer than normal this night and a sigh escaped her lips. Even though she thought I couldn't hear her, she still granted me with an, "I love you" before leaving my room. Even after the
Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 2I was woken early the next day. At first I groaned, not wanting to leave the comfort of my bed or the dreams that I could be having. That was before I remembered why I was being roused so early. In that instant, I felt all of the day's energy come to me as I ripped the bed sheets off of me and planted my feet onto the ground. Grandpa was startled, to say the least at my quick awakening. He chuckled and rubbed my head when he recovered.Dwyre's Legacy: Through Hell and Back: Chapter 2 by Dwyre-Sylvermoon
"Whoa, morning, little Dwyre," he said, "We're not excited, are we?"
"Are they here yet?"
"No, we need to feed you first," Grandpa replied, picking me up and carrying me to the table.
"But I want to meet my instructor," I huffed, "I don't want to eat"
"Never thought I'd hear that," my mother laughed out as she placed a bowl of oatmeal in front of me, "Do you want peanut butter?"
"Yes please," I said, ignoring my own statement of not wanting food, rocking my feet under the table as Grandpa slapped a spoonful of peanut butter into my meal. I mixed the two

Caen sat at the tavern. None did she drink, only resting there. A meal of some roasted chicken and what could be called potatoes was plated on the table in front of her, though she only picked at it. The place seemed dark and quiet, despite the candles lit in every corner and men gambling or practicing some other excuse for yelling. It had taken poor Caen days to find a place fit for human life, but this was none close to being desirable.
Many a man would enter or leave the place, rarely leaving the door still, but one who entered seemed to shut at least a few yammering mouths. He was a lithe figure, and tall enough to look over most the heads in the tavern. Strange clothes wrapped around him in colors of brown and muted green -- the style was nothing Caen had ever seen before. Dark brown hair topped the stranger's head, combed away from his face leaving all features vis
The Summoner Art Contest - CLOSED, read update:thumb382065876:
DON'T WORRY, THIS IS STILL BEING JUDGED.
The past couple weeks have just been hectic due to it being Valentine's and whatnot.
(Not to mention a couple of the people I need to get opinions from haven't been on due to their own reasons.)
Everything is set to be announced by the first week of March at the latest, however.
Thank you for your patience, and I apologise for the wait!
SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW, 100% CLOSED.
No more will be accepted from this point on.
Now comes the toughest part of all... judging. And it's going to be a difficult task indeed.
Unlike last times when I did all solely by myself, this time I will be getting some assistance from people I know who are also familiar with The Summoner, its premise/background and characters.
Final decisions will be mine, however...
I ask for everyone's patience in this, and it might not be until March that I'm able to find the time to finalise everything.
